ANNOUNCEMENT

To facilitate enterprises in executing of their contracts on export of textile products to Canada and other markets, the Ministry of Trade hereby announces the following:

1- The Ministry of Trade in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry reserves 6% of quotas for 2004 to render to enterprises having their textile products exported to Canada along with other markets, in 2004 (excl. cat.2A).

2- Those enterprises not yet have been allocated quotas on textile products to be exported to Canada in 2004, those which were allocated quotas to Canada but have no ability to execute their contracts, or those running out of quotas shall be allocated of such quotas. Those enterprises must have their attached contracts on export of textile products to non-quotas markets with non-quotas categories of other markets.

 The maximum quotas allocated to such enterprise shall not exceed 10.000 units in total of all cats. The quotas shall be allocated until the quota reserve for such enterprise runs out.

 As to enterprises, registered in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hai Phong and Da Nang, the Ministries jointly render such quotas to Export import Management Offices of respective cities.

3- The Dossier for application for such quotas shall include the following:

- Application Letter to request of such quotas (form is attached)

- Contract or Order (PO) with foreign customers (the copy shall be marked with "copy from original" and signed by the enterprise's head).

4- Quotas for direct export allocated to the enterprise.

The Ministry of Trade hereby inform to all Import Export Management bodies and enterprises for further knowledge and implementation. During implementation, if uncertainty arises, inform to the Ministry of Trade for quick settlement.
