DECISION
ON POLICIES APPLICABLE TO THE BORDER-GATE ECONOMIC ZONE OF AN GIANG PROVINCE
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the
Government of September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 53/2001/QD-TTg of April 19, 2001
on policies applicable to border-gate economic zones;
At the proposal of the president of the People’s Committee of An Giang province
in Report No. 2269/CV-UB of November 16, 2001 and Official Dispatch No.
1263/CV-UB of June 22, 2001; the proposal of the Minister of Planning and
Investment in Report No. 4075/BKH/QLKT of June 20, 2001; and comments from
relevant central ministries and branches,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- The border-gate economic zone of An Giang province covers:
- Tinh Bien border-gate zone, embracing Xuan To, An Nong, An Phu and Nhon Hung communes, and Nha Bang district township of Tinh Bien district.
- Vinh Xuong border-gate zone, embracing Vinh Xuong, Vinh Hoa, Tan An, Phu Loc and Long An communes, and Tan Chau district township of Tan Chau district.
Article 2.- The Prime Minister’s Decision No. 53/2001/QD-TTg of April 19, 2001 on policies applicable to border-gate economic zones shall apply to the border-gate economic zone of An Giang province.
Article 3.- The People’s Committee of An Giang province shall have to elaborate the construction planning and annually consider and adjust the planning on construction in the areas stated in Article 1, and arrange the priority order for investment in construction of projects and project items so that they can be efficiently put into use; at the same time, assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the concerned ministries and branches in reviewing the application of the above-said policies and propose to the Prime Minister necessary adjustments and/or supplements.
Article 4.- This Decision takes effect 15 days after its signing.
The ministers, the heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the heads of the agencies attached to the Government and the president of the People’s Committee of An Giang province shall have to implement this Decision.
