DECISION
ON THE CHANGE OF PARAGRAPH 1 AND 2 OF ARTICLE 1 OF THE DECISION NO.173/1998/QD-TTG ON THE OBLIGATION TO SELL AND THE RIGHT TO BUY FOREIGN CURRENCY OF RESIDENT ORGANISATIONS
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on the Government Organisation dated 30 September, 1992;
Upon proposal of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
DECIDES
Article 1.
Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 1 of the Decision No. 173/1998/QD-TTg dated 12 September, 1998 of the Prime Minister stipulating that resident organisations shall sell foreign currency to authorised banks within a period of 15 working days shall be changed to read: Residents organisations shall immediately sell the foreign currency to authorised banks when the foreign currency is transferred to or surrendered to their foreign currency accounts placed with the banks
Article 2.
This Decision shall be effective since the date of signing.
Article 3.
The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam shall be responsible for guiding the implementation of this Decision.
Minister, Head of ministry-level agencies, Heads of Government agencies, Chairmen of People Committees in the provinces and centrally managed cities shall be responsible to implement this Decision.
