DECISION
AUTHORISING THE PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE OF QUANG TRI PROVINCE TO GRANT PERMITS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FOREIGN TRADERS’ BRANCHES IN LAO BAO TRADE ZONE
THE MINISTER OF TRADE
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 95/CP dated December 4, 1993
prescribing the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of
the Ministry of Trade;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree
No. 45/2000/ND-CP dated September 6, 2000 providing for Vietnam-based
representative offices and branches of foreign traders and foreign tourist
enterprises; Joint Circular No. 20/2000/TTLT-BTM-TCDL dated October 20, 2000 of
the Ministry of Trade and the Tourism Administration guiding the implementation
of the above-said Decree, and Article 13, Chapter II of the Regulation on Lao
Bao trade zone, issued together with the Prime Minister’s
Decision No. 219/1998/QD-TTg dated November 12, 1998;
At the proposal of the People’s Committee
of Quang Tri province on the authorization of the granting of permits
for the establishment of foreign traders’
branches in Lao Bao trade zone (Document No. 238/UB-TM dated February
24, 2003),
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To authorize the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province to grant permits for the establishment of foreign traders branches in Lao Bao trade zone.
Article 2. The granting, amendment, supplementation and withdrawal of permits for the establishment of foreign traders branches in Lao Bao trade zone shall comply with current provisions of Vietnamese law.
Article 3. Annually, by April 15 at the latest, the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province shall send to the Ministry of Trade reports on the granting, amendment, supplementation and withdrawal of permits for the establishment and operation of foreign trader’s branches in Lao Bao trade zone in the preceding year.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect as from April 1, 2003.
