CIRCULAR

AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CIRCULAR NO.03/1999/TT-BTM WHICH GUIDES THE GRANTING OF PERMITS FOR IMPORT OF RAW MATERIAL WOOD FROM CAMBODIA

Pursuant to Document No. 02/CP-KTTH-m of January 13, 1998 of the Government and Document No. 3895/VPCP-KTTH of August 25, 1999 of the Government Office on the import of rubber wood from Cambodia,
The Ministry of Trade amends and supplements Circular No. 03/1998/TT-BTM of February 24, 1998 guiding the granting of permits for import of raw material wood from Cambodia as follows:

1. To amend Item II on the dossiers of application for import permits as follows:

A dossier of application for an import permit shall include:

- An official written request of the Vietnamese importing enterprise clearly stating the name of the wood-selling enterprise, wood category and specifications (log, sawn timber or slats), quantity, the import border gate.

- The copies of the certificates of business registration and the import/export business enterprise’s code registration.

- The original of the principle contract signed by the Vietnamese enterprise directly with a Cambodian enterprise.

- The original or copy of the export permit granted by the Cambodian Ministry of Trade, clearly stating the names of the Cambodian exporting enterprise and the Vietnamese importing enterprise, the wood category, specifications and volume. If it is the copy, It must be certified by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia or the Vietnamese public notary or the Cambodian Embassy in Hanoi.

3. The other provisions of the Ministry of Trade’s Circular No. 03/1998/TT-BTM of February 24, 1998 remain to be effective.

4. This Circular takes effect 15 days after its signing.
