DECISION
ON THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE REFINANCING INTEREST RATE APPLIED BY THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM TO CREDIT INSTITUTIONS
THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK
Pursuant to the Ordinance on
the State Bank of Vietnam promulgated by Decree No. 37/LCT-HDNN8 dated 23 May,
1990 by the Chairman of the State Council;
Pursuant to Decree No. 15CP dated 02 March, 1989 of the Government stipulating
the assignment, authority, responsibility of state management of Ministries and
ministry-level agencies;
Upon the proposal of the Director of the Economic Research Department,
DECIDES
Article 1. To adjust the refinancing interest rate applied by the State Bank to credit institutions to 1.1% per month.
Article 2. The interest rate stipulated in Article 1 shall be effective from 21 January, 1998 and replace the provision on refinancing interest rate in the Decision No. 198 QD-NH1 dated 28 June, 1997 by the Governor on the adjustment of the refinancing interest rate applied by the State Bank to credit institutions. The outstanding refinancing credits due to the State Bank by the credit institutions as of 21 January, 1998 shall be subject to the interest rate stated in the credit contract and shall not be adjusted to the interest rate provided for in the Article 1.
Article 3. Chairmen and General Directors (Directors) of credit institutions, Head of Departments of the State Bank Head-office, General Managers of State Bank branches in the province and cities shall be responsible for enforcing this Decision.
