ANNOUNCEMENT
Based on actual performance of quotas and demand for dispatching goods in December 2003 to reach the US by January 2004, upon reaching an agreement with the Ministry of Industry and the Vietnam Textile and Garments Association, the Ministry of Trade announces the following:
1. Enterprises can use quotas for 2004 for the following Cats: 334/335, 340/640, 341/641, 342/642, 345, 351/651, 352/652, 359/659-C 359/659-S 447, 638/639, 645/646, 647/648, to apply for visa for goods dispatched in December 2003 to reach the US by January 2004.
2. Offices in charge of export import Management shall grant visa to enterprises with above stated cats. upon the following conditions:
- if quotas of 2003 remain, deduct it
- If enterprise has quotas for 2004, deduct from those.
- If quotas of 2003 have been returned to the Ministry of Trade but the quotas for 2004 are not yet allocated, enterprise shall send respective correspondences to the Ministry of Trade requesting for visas.
3. Local export import management bodies shall weekly send to the Import Export Department a list of enterprises being granted visas in accordance with regulations of this Announcement (form is attached).

The Ministry of Trade hereby informs to all enterprises, export import management bodies for further knowledge and implementation.
This Announcement takes affect as of the signing date.
