ANNOUNCEMENT
Referring to the Report on capacity of textile and garments production of Vietnam concluded by the US Custom Delegation after its working session lasting from August 4th to 22nd 2003, namely among those 98 enterprises under examination, 6 permanently closed their business or rejected to give access to the delegation (Annex I is attached), and 17 were given status as those with “high ratio of transfer“ (Annex II is attached). The Ministry of Trade announces:
1. There will be no quotas given to 6 enterprises listed in Annex I.
2. As to 17 business individuals named in Annex II, export import management bodies shall intensify revisions of these enterprises’ export records to the US market in order to prevent the possibility of transfers.
The Ministry of Trade hereby inform to all export import management bodies and enterprises for further knowledge and implementation.
