DECISION

ON PROMULGATION OF PLAN FOR SCHOOL TIME 2021 – 2022 APPLICABLE TO PRESCHOOL EDUCATION IN HO CHI MINH CITY

THE PRESIDENT OF THE PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE OF HO CHI MINH CITY

Pursuant to the Law on Local Governmental Organization dated June 19, 2015; the Law on amendments to the Law on Government Organization and the Law on Local Governmental Organization dated November 21, 2019;

Pursuant to the Law on Education dated June 14, 2019;

Pursuant to Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2021 of the Government on interim regulations on “Safety and flexibility and effective control of COVID-19”;

Pursuant to Decision No. 2551/QD-BGDDT dated August 04, 2021 of the Ministry of Education and Training on promulgation of Plan for school time 2021-2022 applicable to preschool education, formal education and continuing education;

At the request of Department of Education and Training in Statement No. 3831/TTr-SGDDT dated December 28, 2021.

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1. Plan for the school time 2021 – 2022 applicable to preschool education in Ho Chi Minh City is promulgated with the following specific issues:

1. From September, 2021 to January, 2022: managers, teachers, workers of preschool education institutions shall perform specialized tasks such as: participating in training and advanced training courses, preparatory training for the school year 2021 - 2022 organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training, the Divisions of Education and Training of Thu Duc city and districts; assigning watch duty and regularly performing environmental cleaning and disinfection; preparing facilities; reviewing the list of children registered for school by age; keeping in close contact with the children's parents and caregivers to understand the child's health situation; making and sharing a variety of video clips about child care and education activities children’s parents and caregivers in order to support in training children in skills and knowledge while they are not in school.

2. From February, 2022 to July, 2022: Children may go to school to participate directly in school activities with the consent of their parents or caregivers.

3. Ending time of the school year: scheduled for July 29, 2022.

Article 2. The Director of the Department of Education and Training shall:

- Monitor and direct preschools to implement the Plan for school time 2021-2022 according to the pandemic situation of the City;

- Decide school closure in case of severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, arrange make-up classes to ensure adequate number of actual study weeks and the teacher's time off in the school year under regulations;

- Direct implementation of organization plans and teaching-studying methods to ensure education quality and safety for teachers and children of preschools in the City.

Article 3. This Decision comes into force from the day on which it is signed.

Article 4. Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Director of Department of Education and Training, Heads of relevant agencies and units, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Duc city and districts are responsible for the implementation of this Decision./.
