DECISION

ON THE LIST OF IMPORTS AND EXPORTS UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT THAT HAVE TO UNDERGO FOOD SAFETY INSPECTION PRIOR TO CUSTOMS CLEARANCE 

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No.199/2013/ND-CP dated November 26, 2013 defining the functions, rights, responsibilities and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to Law on Commerce and Government’s Decree No.187/2013/ND-CP dated November 20, 2013 detailing the Law on Commerce in respect of international trade and agents trading, processing and transiting foreigners’ goods;

Pursuant to the law on Food Safety date June 17, 2010 and the Government's Decree No. 38/2012/ND-CP dated April 25, 2012, detailing the implementation of some articles of the Law of Food safety;

Pursuant to the Joint-Circular No.13/2014/TTLT-BYT-BNNPTNT-BCT dated April 09, 2014 on guidelines for allocation and cooperation in State management of food safety;

Upon request the Director of the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department,

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1.  Issue the list of imports and exports under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that have to undergo food safety inspection prior to customs clearance annexed to this Decision.

Article 2. The National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department shall take charge of and cooperate with relevant entities in periodic review the list of imports and exports under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that have to undergo food safety inspection prior to customs clearance (hereinafter referred to as “the list”) and propose the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to modify and supplement the List according to the management requirement.

Article 3. This Decision enters into force from the date on which it is signed.

Article 4. The Chief of the Ministry Office, Director of the National Agro - Forestry - Fisheries Quality Assurance Department, heads of relevant ministerial agencies, importers and exporters shall be responsible for implementing this Decision ./.
