DECISION

ON AMENDMENTS TO DECISION NO. 1178/QĐ-BTTTT DATED SEPTEMBER 23, 2013 OF THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS ON APPROVAL FOR SCHEME OF MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY IN VIETNAM

THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS

Pursuant to the Law on telecommunication dated November 23, 2009;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 132/2013/ND-CP dated August 18, 2017 on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 25/2011/ND-CP dated April 6, 2011 on guidelines for the Law on telecommunication;

Pursuant to Decision No. 32/2012/QD-TTg dated July 27, 2012 of the Prime Minister on approval for Planning for national telecommunications development by 2020;

Pursuant to the Decision No. 35/2011/QD-TTg dated June 27, 2011 of the Prime Minister on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority affiliated to Ministry of Information and Communications;

Pursuant to Decision No. 1178/QD-BTTTT dated September 23, 2013 of the Minister of Information and Communications on approval for Scheme of mobile number portability in Vietnam;

At the request of the Director of the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority,

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1. Clause 3 Article 1 of Decision No. 1178/QD-BTTTT dated September 23, 2013 of the Minister of Information and Communications shall be amended as follows:

4. Road map:

The mobile number portability service shall be initiated according to the following road map:

a. Period of connection testing: at least 6 months, expected to be finished before June 30, 2017.

b. Expected official service time: before December 31, 2017.

Article 2. This Decision comes into force upon signing.

Article 3. The Chief officers, the Director of the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority, heads of units affiliated to Ministries and Directors General or Directors of telecommunication enterprises shall implement this Decision./.
