DECISION
AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING A NUMBER OF ARTICLES OF THE PRIME MINISTER’S DECISION NO. 51/2011/QD-TTG OF SEPTEMBER 12, 2011, PROMULGATING THE LIST OF DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT SUBJECT TO ENERGY LABELING AND APPLICATION OF THE MINIMUM ENERGY EFFICIENCY, AND THE IMPLEMENTATION ROADMAP
Pursuant to the December 25, 2001 Law on Organization of the Government;
Pursuant to the June 28, 2010 Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 21/2011/ND-CP of March 29, 2011, detailing the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy and measures for its implementation;
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 51/2011/QD-TTg of September 12, 2011, promulgating the list of devices and equipment subject to energy labeling and application of the minimum energy efficiency, and the implementation roadmap;
At the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Trade,
The Prime Minister promulgates the Decision to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 51/2011/QD-TTg of September 12, 2011, promulgating the list of devices and equipment subject to energy labeling and application of the minimum energy efficiency, and the implementation roadmap.
Article 1. To amend and supplement a number of articles of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 51/2011/QD-TTg of September 12, 2011, promulgating the list of devices and equipment subject to energy labeling and application of the minimum energy efficiency, and the implementation roadmap, as follows:
1. To amend and supplement Point b, Clause 1, Article 2 as follows:
“b/ To conduct compulsory energy labeling:
- From July 1, 2013, for household appliances including tubular fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, electromagnetic and electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps, air conditioners, household vertical-axis washing machines, electric cookers and electric fans;
- From January 1, 2014, for household appliances including refrigerators, horizontal-axis washing machines and television receivers;
- From July 1, 2013, for the group of industrial equipment including three- phase distribution transformers and electric motors.”
2. To amend Clause 1, Article 3 as follows:
“1. For the group of household appliances:
From January 1, 2015, import and manufacture of equipment with the energy efficiency lower than the minimum energy efficiency will be prohibited.”
Article 2. Effect
1. This Decision takes effect on January 15, 2013.
2. Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of government- attached agencies, chairpersons of provincial-level People’s Committees, heads of related agencies and units and related organizations and individuals shall implement this Decision.-
