DECISION
SUPPLEMENTING THE MARITIME CHARGE AND FEE LEVELS
THE MINISTER OF FINANCE
Pursuant to the Charge and Fee Ordinance and documents guiding the implementation of the Charge and Fee Ordinance;
In order to encourage foreign ships to carry tourists to Vietnam and alleviate difficulties met by ships mooring or anchoring at Vietnamese lagoons and bays without carrying out any profitable operations;
At the proposal of the General Director of Tax,
DECIDES:
Article 1.-
1. To apply the preferential maritime charge and fee levels to ships with a gross tonnage (GT) of 200 GT or less, which carry tourists to Vietnam on fixed routes and arrive at Vietnamese ports at the minimum frequency of 10 shipments/month/port, as follows:

2. To apply the level of the charge for mooring and anchoring at lagoons and bays equal to 50% of the mooring and anchoring charge level prescribed at Point a1, Section III, Part B of Appendix 1 enclosed with the Finance Minister’s Decision No. 48/2001/QD-BTC of May 28, 2001 to anchored international sea-going cargo ships awaiting cargo-handling for one (01) month or more.
Article 2.- This Decision takes effect after its signing. The other stipulations on maritime charges and fees not mentioned in this Decision shall still comply with the Finance Minister’s Decision No. 48/2001/QD/BTC of May 28, 2001 and the current guiding documents on maritime charges and fees.
Article 3.- Organizations and individuals liable to pay maritime charges and fees, port authorities and concerned agencies shall have to implement this Decision.
