DIRECTIVE
ON SIMULTANEOUS IMPLEMENTATION OF VEHICLE LOAD INSPECTION ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS
In furtherance of implementation of Official Telex No. 95/CD-TTg and No. 1966/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister; the Traffic Safety Year 2014 with the theme “Tightening management of transport activities and vehicle load control”, the General Department of Vietnam Road has handed over 63 portable scale to 63 localities to implement the inspection of vehicle load on major highways as regulated in Document No. 778/TCDBVN-ATGT dated March 04, 2014 of the General Department of Vietnam Road. To regulate the status of overloading of road vehicles, the General Department of Vietnam Road hereby requires:
1. Services of Transport
- For localities which are provided with portable scale phase 2, the Services of Transport shall advise the provincial-level People’s Committee to early promulgate legal documents and complete the procedures for putting the scale into inspection of vehicle load.
- At least from April 01, 2014, all localities have to carry out the simultaneous inspection of vehicle load on major highways according to Document No. 778/TCDBVN-ATGT dated March 2014 of the General Department of Vietnam Road;
- Strengthening the inspection, monitoring and maintenance of continuous daily operation of vehicle load inspection station.
- Making periodical reports on the inspection, operation and problems and proposals to the General Department of Vietnam Road.
2.Road Administrations
Monitoring, urging and summarizing reports as stipulated.
Based on the above contents, the Services of Transports and Road Administrations are required to expeditiously implement this Directive. /.
