Currently, there is an increase of foreign experts being investors, technical experts, highly skilled workers and enterprise managers (hereinafter collectively referred to as “experts”) entering Vietnam for work and testing positive for SARS-CoV-2. In order to enable experts to enter Vietnam while strictly complying with requirements for COVID-19 prevention, the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control would like to request you to perform the following tasks:
1. Notify the expert inviting units of the following requirements:
- The expert must undergo a Real time-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 from 03 to 07 days prior to the date of entry into Vietnam. The test must be conducted in a Government-approved laboratory or WHO-designated laboratory.
- The expert must have international health insurance or the inviting unit must make a commitment to incur treatment costs in case the expert contracts COVID-19.
- The inviting unit shall fulfill all requirements for COVID-19 prevention when it invites an expert.
2. Enable experts to complete procedures necessary for entering Vietnam.
3. Continue to strictly comply with the requirements stated in Official Dispatch No. 2487/CV-BYT dated May 23, 2020 by the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on assistance for foreigners being investors, technical experts, highly skilled workers and enterprise managers entering Vietnam for work.
4. This Official Dispatch is not applicable to experts who already hold tickets and will enter Vietnam before August 05, 2020.
