On September 19, 2013, the Ministry of Health issued the official dispatch no 5890/BYT/QLD on interim guideline for extension of drug registration number expired and re-registered but yet renewed with regard to drugs to be provided to health facilities under contract. However, the effect of the official dispatch no 5890/BYT-QLD only lasts until January 15, 2015. Nevertheless, a variety of contracts with health facilities are still in effect but expired registration number of relevant drugs have not been renewed.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health announces the following extension of the validity of the official dispatch no 5890/BYT-QLD in order to facilitate the adequate supply of drugs required by health facilities under contracts awarded pending registration number renewal.
1. Applications for extension of drug registration number validity as per the official dispatch no 5890/BYT-QLD dated September 19, 2013 by Ministry of Health on interim guideline for extension of drug registration number validity shall be admitted and considered to June 30, 2016 inclusive.
2. Documents in an application for extension of drug registration number validity shall adhere to the official dispatch no 5890/BYT-QLD dated September 19, 2013.
Departments of Health and organizations concerned shall report difficulties to the Ministry of Health (Drug administration of Vietnam) for solutions./.
