Following Official Dispatch No. 2974/LS-PL dated 06/8/2021 by Consular Department, regarding inspection and recognition of certificates of vaccination and certificates of recovery from COVID-19 or other equivalent documents issued abroad, Consular Department - Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to make the following announcements:
1. For certificates of vaccination/certificates of recovery from COVID-19 issued abroad not eligible for legalization, Vietnamese diplomatic missions shall verify the content of these documents. Consular Department encloses therewith the verification form used by our diplomatic missions for you to compare and use when considering reduction of quarantine time of eligible entrants.
2. Recently, some foreign diplomatic missions and consular missions in Vietnam have introduced sample certificates of vaccination and certificates of recovery from COVID-19 and requested that these samples be added to the list of sample certificates of vaccination and certificates of recovery from COVID-19 introduced abroad through diplomacy enclosed with Official Dispatch No. 2974/LS-PL dated 06/8/2021. Consular Department has added these samples to the list and encloses the updated list therewith (new entries are from No. 11 to No. 34).
Consular Department has posted the samples on the website for consular operations, which can be browsed via https://lanhsuvietnam.gov.vn → Hệ thống văn bản pháp quy (“legislative documents”) → Mẫu Giấy chứng nhận tiêm chủng/Giấy xác nhận khỏi bệnh Covid-19 của nước ngoài (“sample certificates of vaccination and certificates of recovery from COVID-19 issued abroad”).
3. Consular Departments will continue to notify any further guidance on this matter to you.
