Due to recent COVID-19 outbreaks in some localities, many flight ticket holders could not take their flights, which affects both airlines and passengers, especially in quarantined areas. Based on opinions from relevant regulatory bodies and units in the meeting on 01/2/2021, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests airlines to perform the following tasks:
1. Urgently exchange and refund tickets (in cash or by vouchers with passengers’ agreement), including tickets that cannot be rescheduled, rerouted and/or refunded, of operating air routes purchased by passengers who cannot take their flights as they live in an area placed under quarantine.
2. Urgently implement and notify procedures for ticket exchange and refund for the abovementioned cases to passengers via their customer service systems, websites, offices and booking agents.
