Covid-19 pandemic are still developing in the world in a complicated manner. Coronavirus is on frozen food packaging in some countries. Though Vietnam has initially put the epidemic under control, Covid-19 still poses a threat of breaking into our country.
In order to prevent this, the Ministry of Health – Inter-agency Standing Committee of Food Safety hereby request that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance (General Department of Customs) and the People’s Committees of provinces:
1. Demand relevant authorities to maintain strict control over foods, especially frozen foods, imported from countries affected by Covid-19.
2. Collect samples on food packages to test for SARS - CoV2; send test result reports to the Ministry of Health (Standing Agency of National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control).
3. Enhance provision of information for food importers about prevention and control of Covid-19; strictly implement directives on Covid-19 prevention and control of the Prime Minister and National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
