CIRCULAR
ON THE ADDITIONAL IMPORT OF SUGAR UNDER THE 2010 TARIFF QUOTA
THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
Pursuant to the Government's
Decree No. 189/2007/ND-CP of December 27. 2007, defining the functions, tasks,
powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 12/2006/ND-CP of January 23, 2006,
detailing the implementation of the Commercial Law regarding international
purchase and sale of goods and activities of purchase and sale agency,
processing and transit of goods with foreign parties;
In furtherance of the Prime Minister's directing opinions in Official Letter
No. 955/ VPCP-KTTH of February 10, 2010, on the import of sugar for price
valorization;
The Minister of Industry and Trade provides for the additional import of sugar
under the 2010 tariff quota as follows:
Article 1. Additional quota volume
The additional tariff quota volume for imported sugar (refined sugar. Code HS 1701 99 11 00) in 2010 is 50.000 tons (fifty thousand tons).
Article 2. Allocation of the tariff quota for import of sugar
The Ministry of Industry and Trade shall issue import permits for refined sugar at the request of traders for commercial business within the above tariff quota volume.
Article 3. This Circular takes effect from the date of its signing through December 31, 2010.-
