CIRCULAR
PROMULGATING LIST OF CHEMICALS, ANTIBIOTICS PROHIBITED FROM IMPORT, PRODUCTION, TRADING AND USE IN LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY FEEDS IN VIETNAM
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 199/2013/NĐ-CP dated November 26, 2013 defining the functions, tasks, entitlements and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 08/2010/NĐ-CP dated February 05, 2010 on the management of animal feeds;
At the request of Director General of the Department of Livestock Production;
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgates a list of chemicals, antibiotics prohibited from import, production, trading and use in livestock and poultry feeds in Vietnam.
Article 1. Enclosed herewith is the list of chemicals, antibiotics prohibited from import, production, trading and use in livestock and poultry feeds.
Article 2. Effect
1. This Circular takes effect since October 20, 2014.
2. This Circular replaces the Decision No. 54/2002/QĐ-BNN dated June 20, 2002 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on prohibition against production, importation, sale and use of some antibiotics, chemicals in production and trading of animal feeds.
3. The provisions on the management of Melamine with respect to livestock and poultry feeds as set out in the Decision No. 3762/QĐ-BNN dated November 28, 2008 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on the management of Melamine in aquaculture shall be abrogated.
Article 3. Transitional provision
Production, trading and use of carbadox, olaquindox, bacitracin zinc in livestock and poultry feeds shall be extended to the end of June 30, 2015.
Article 4. Chief of the Ministry Office, Director General of the Department of Livestock Production, directors of the Service of Agriculture and Rural Development of central-affiliated cities and provinces, heads of units affiliated to Ministries, and relevant organizations, individuals shall be responsible for executing this Circular./.
