CIRCULAR
AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING A NUMBER ARTICLES OF THE DECISIONS NO.02/2008/QD-BGTVT DATED JANUARY 31, 2008 OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION APPROVING THE FORM OF MOTOR VEHICLES DRIVER’S LICENSE
Pursuant to the Law on Road Traffic dated November 13, 2008;
Pursuant to the Decree No.51/2008/ND-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government
regulating functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the
Ministry of Transport;
The Minister of Transport amends and supplements a number articles of the
Decision No.02/2008/QD-BGTVT dated January 31, 2008 approving the form of motor vehicle
driver’s license as follows:
Article 1. Amending and supplementing the form of motor vehicle driver’s license in Article 1 of the Decision No.02/2008/QD-BGTVT dated January 31, 2008 of the Minister of Transport (form enclosed with this Circular) to be allocated to the drivers of motor vehicles.
Article 2. Assigning the General Department of Vietnam Road to continue developing the project of innovation in driver’s license management; print, manage and guide the implementation of granting, renewing of driver’s licenses uniformly throughout the country, according to principle: the driver’s license has been granted will continue to be used as prescribed, renew new driver's license for individuals having demand.
Article 3. This Circular takes effect 45 days from the date of signing.
Article 4. Chief of Ministry Office, Chief of Ministry Inspectorate, Head of Department, General Department of Vietnam Road, Director of Transport of the provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, heads of agencies, organizations and individuals concerned shall be responsible for implementing this Circular. /.

(Issued together with the Circular No.35/2010/TT-BGTVT dated November 15,
2010 of the Minister of Transport)

Print each classification of motor vehicle which the driver is allowed to control (shown in Vietnamese and English).
3. Specification:
- Side: 85.6 x 53.98 x 0.76 mm (according to ICAO standard type ID-1);
- The title “GIẤY PHÉP LÁI XE/ DRIVER 'S LICENSE", CONTROLABLE CLASSIFICATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE ", the word "Số. / No." And "Beginning Date " in red, other letters in black;
- Picture of the driver is printed directly on the driver's license;
- Have a security covered membrane for driver's license;
- The kernel part is made of PET material, or of materials with similar specifications, with straw yellow patterns and security symbols.
