CIRCULAR

AMENDING AND ANNULLING SOME CONTENTS OF THE CIRCULAR NO. 60/2011/TT-BNNPTNT DATED SEPTEMBER 09TH 2011 OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT, GUIDING THE INSPECTION OF IMPORTED SALT QUALITY

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 01/2008/ND-CP dated January 03^rd 2008, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development, the Government's Decree No. 75/2009/ND-CP dated September 10^th 2009, amending Article 3 of the Decree No. 01/2008/ND-CP;

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development amends and annuls some contents of the Circular No. 60/2011/TT- BNNPTNT dated September 09^th 2011 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development, guiding the inspection of imported salt quality (hereinafter referred to as the Circular No. 60/2011/TT-BNNPTNT) as follows:

Article 1. Some contents in the Circular No. 60/2011/TT-BNNPTNT is amended and annulled as follows:

1. Annul the part about Declaration of conformity in Clause 2 of Article 3; Clause 1 of Article 7, Point c Clause 3 of Article 7; Annex II, and Annex III.

2. The phrase “The importer must obtain the Declaration of conformity with technical standards before importing” is replaced with the phrase “The National Standard TCVN 3974-2007 on table salt and the National Technical Regulation QCVN 8-2:2011/BYT on the limits on heavy metal contamination in food must be complied with” in Clause 2 of Article 5.

3. The phrase “applicable standards” is replaced with the phrase “The National Standard TCVN 3974-2007 on table salt and the National Technical Regulation QCVN 8-2:2011/BYT on the limits on heavy metal contamination in food” in Clause 2 of Article 8; Point a and Point b Clause 2 of Article 9; Clause 1 and Clause 3 of Article 10.

Article 2. Effects

1. This Circular takes effect on October 24^th 2011.

2. The Director of the Department of Agricultural, Forestry, Aquatic Products and Salt, The Chief of the Ministry Office, heads of Ministerial units, relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for the implementation of this Circular./.
