DECISION

ON OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACTION MONTH

THE PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on government organization dated June 19, 2015;

Considering the request of Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs;

DECIDES:

Article 1. The May is dedicated as the annual Occupational Safety and Health Action Month.

Article 2. Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall take charge and coordinate with relevant Ministries/regulatory bodies/ agencies and local governments to guide and organize the Occupational Safety and Health Action Month in a practical and efficient way with the following objectives:

- Improving awareness and adherence to the law on occupational safety and health;

- Enhancing the implementation of measures to improve working conditions, reduce pollution in working environment; prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases; tend to workers’ health.

Article 3. The fund for organizing the “Occupational Safety and Health Action Month” is derived from the state budget and the other legal sources of funding in accordance with the law.

Article 4. This Decision shall come into force as from the date on which it is signed.  

The “Occupational Safety and Health Action Month” is organized from the year of 2017.

Article 5. Ministers, Heads of Ministerial-level Agencies, Heads of the Government's Affiliates, and Chairpersons of People’s Committees of Central-affiliated Cities/ Provinces shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
